I am a woman and I see how much I have struggled to love and express myself and I know other women are struggling with this too. I want to empower women to honour and embrace themselves!!!

I have spent the past 13 years focussed on my kids, which has given me an incredible relationship with them.  I have been focussed on them,  volunteering in the communities that I am a part of and working.  Now I want to make time for myself.

Creating more awareness, first for myself, my family and others that we indeed do have control and we can change things even in small ways. And large ways that we don't even know we can do!

Hey Everyone!

I am planning on going down to Mexico for a week (or two or three, not exactly sure yet) to do some volunteering. One of the agencies that I want to work with is The Children of the Dump.

Some of the things that we could possibly get involved in include:

-preparing and serving meals to children at school twice a day

- sharing skills-cooking, sewing ect as well as tutoring children in school subjects

-helping to paint and do 'odd jobs' in repairing the homes of the elderly and those with disbalities

-distribution of purified water to community members who live and work around the dump

-provide seminars on topics that you are skilled/interested in (such as birth control, money management ect)

-visiting people in prison

$10/night if we stay at the accomodation provided by the organization

$3.50/meal prepared by the organization

This is in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I am thinking of going in late January/early February 2007. (Sorry for the short notice)

Along with teaching and performing dance to make a living, I feel compelled to offer my energy to the community as well. Occasionally I will offer a free lesson to any new student interested in learning partner dancing. That offer is good right now!
