I thought this was so easy until I lost my blog entry! I came across this site from Vancity’s main website. I’m running for Vancity’s board of directors – the elections are on now until March 24th. If you’re a Vancity member (e.g. you have an account), please exercise your annual democratic right and vote in our election! Only about 6% of members currently vote, although hopefully that will improve – especially as it gets easier to vote. You can use the ballot received by mail or drop into any Vancity branch where there are election booths open until Saturday (24th March) – it’s easy and your vote makes a difference!

My first action moving toward this resolution was to create Videos on Vancity. This is a simple video sharing website to allow members to upload any video they would like and thereby engage in this conversation about our credit union.

Admittedly, I am running a little late on unveiling my New Year's Resolution. Forgive me for that, but my intentions to see this resolution through remain strong. Over the 2006 holiday season i reflected a great deal on my credit union.
