October 6th was the final day of training for our new cohort of Each One Teach One, Vancity’s financial literacy training team. The outgoing and super enthusiastic group of employees were being trained up to provide the absolute basics in financial literacy to communities who are typically shut out, for various reasons, from obtaining this type of help and support. Among them they represented 15 different languages and individuals who specified a desire to work with other communities such as Aboriginal, single-mothers, women escaping violence and youth.

We've got a Pledge Ride coming up on May 31st around Vancouver, and it would be great to see you come out and ride in support of Global Agents for Change (www.globalafc.org). We're running two bike tours this year (including a new tour from Amsterdam to Istanbul) to raise money and awareness for microcredit. Details below:

We are so privileged to have access to basic necessities that allow is to live a happy fulfilled life. Through microcredit and my work at Agents of Change, I would like others to live "the good life" using the power of microloans. Microcloans can give developing world entrepreneurs the power to lift THEMSELVES out of poverty.
