Why is everyone so dead set against Walmart coming to Salmon Arm? Oh yeah...C O M P E T I T I O N. GOD FORBID! Understand that...if more people are working - then more people will spend money and more taxes will be collected. There-by creating a better local economy. It's unfortunate that some will be eaten up by the big box community - but that just means you are barely hanging in there now.

For the last few years I seem to have just gone through the motions of doing my job without much joy or motivation. I have always thought of doing something drastically different and find my passion but I have just been too scared. I'm still scared. I am drawn to the things that people here talk about - environment, community, health, etc.. Perhaps I will find my passion in these fields.
I have sent several resumes and cover letters to most of the entry planning jobs that I could find. I will be moving to Calgary this week.
Why moving? It will be a great challenge for me to move to a new location, without a job and with a place to stay yet.
Why Calgary? I have a relative and friend there, so I can depend on them for the first few weeks. After that, I don't want to be a burden, and I look forward to the challenges.
