As I sit here perched, semi Buddha-like, in a 1/16 lotus position (I sprained my back playing frisbee), I contemplate the billions of magical, whirling, atomic universes within all of my multi-faceted, inter-dimensional bodies.
Suddenly I am completely underwhelmed by the sheer nonsensical nature of all Life.
I have an idea for a book documenting ordinary "ecoheroes/heroines" in our midst, particularly in the Lower Mainland. That is people who are making a difference to the world and the environment, taking action, not just talking.
This has been a bad year so far; loosing three of four friends who were diagnosed with cancer. When you lose so many so fast it really leaves large holes in your heart so this takes time to heal. (I have a much better appreciation for all those who lost so many in the AIDS crisis in North America).
