A couple years ago, I borrowed my girlfriend's bike and zipped around for a few minutes. It had been years since I had ridden one. I was hooked (again). The memories of tearing around various campsites as I was growing up came flooding back.
This tire is well used but it must go. I'm very attached to it, which makes getting rid of it even more difficult. But I promise: all 10 lbs of it will be gone by March 1, 2007 or... (to be continued).
I have been finding it difficult to get back into running. There was a time when I ran for 1.5 a day 4-5 days a week. Now I cant imagine such a thing. It has been a year since I stopped running and I hate it. I feel crappy and I miss running. I know there are obstacles that are getting in my way, but I cant seem to get past them. I feel like a big one is having someone to run with. I want to run on trails not on pavement. Also I am a bit scared at how out of shape I might be...and I wont know until I get out there! - so if I keep putting it off I wont have to find out!
Well, I want to build the trail running community in Canada. I've started a blog at www.ultrarace.blogspot.com It is pretty new but will grow into a site with trail running info, nutritional info and training tips to help get you motivated to go play in the mountains. It will largely focus on Vancouver/BC!
