Tomorrow, world leaders will arrive for an unprecedented 60 hours of direct negotiations. Three of them could have the power to drive through a Real Deal -- Brazil, South Africa, Europe. But they will only act if we give them a massive public mandate.

Many times a day I stop people from idling their automobiles.

Today on Main Street a company was running the engine of several of their cars, belching lots of smog (there was fog today, no wind, and the smog hung at ground level) and I called the anti-idling department at. 604-257-2404 to get enforcement on the scene and to stops the idling cars.

In another recent incident, I was in Oakridge Mall and called the police, because the owner of a car was running the car and went shopping in the mall. The police arrived and gave the person a ticket.
