For a deeper perspective and greater context, here's an article by Howard Zinn, a veteran activist for progressive causes (whole article at http://www.peace.ca/ongettingalong.htm ) I find it poignant and relevant for us progressives at this juncture:
Christie Clark voted for First Past the Post when she was in government. Now that she's out of government, she has slowly come to see the world much more clearly and highly recommends STV. In STV the people have more power, your vote counts, you have more choice. Political parties, the politicians are scared of these changes, that's why so many are saying no.
Our rivers and the very future of public power for the benefit of the people and for the people are at risk in this election. The Run of River private power projects (PPP) are a hoax, and a power grab. We must oust the current government on May 12 if we care about these issues.
Having recently watched the great documentary about Ralph Nader "An Unreasonable Man" (http://www.anunreasonableman.com/) I was reminded of the dilemma we face regarding voting on pure conscience versus voting strategically to defeat a party whose policies repulse you.
