2009 was a busy year for Stand Up For Mental Health. Here are some of the Highlights:

• SMH Day at the BC Legislature in March, a bi-partisan sponsored reception and performance
• SMH Day on Parliament Hill in Ottawa in May, an all-party sponsored reception and performance

I remember spending most of Grade 2 standing in the corner, in Miss Carscadden's class. Was the adoring fall guy for the class comedian, Keith Fairley. My laughter at Keith's childish jokes really irritated the teacher, and always got a "your nuttier than a fruitcake" from Keith. It was burning shame and Nirvana both at once.

Just came back from having major oral surgery-what a joy. Paid the $995 bill (on my Vancity Visa, of course) prior to the procedure. That was only the beginning of the pain!
