2010 Human Resources 2nd Annual Pink Shirt Day records a 100% increase in participation!

In 2009, 21 individuals in the division took a moment of their day to get together to support this cause & wear pink. I did not realize at the time that a small activity, like “wearing pink” could affect so many. Over the next couple weeks I had three different individuals contact me to let me know how much our Division’s support of this event affected them. Whether it was because they were bullied as a young person , knew someone who was bullied or felt bullied in a current situation, this event gave them hope for the youth of today and made them feel supported by their colleagues. On April 14, 2010 I again encouraged all of my HR colleagues to wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society would not tolerate bullying anywhere and the support was over whelming! Over 76% of the division showed up wearing some pink flare. Check out the photos of our “pretty (handsome) in pink” crew. Thank you to everyone who participated!

BULLYING STOPS HERE!!!!!
