The Rules and Regulations

Any resident of British Columbia over the age of thirteen (13) years (except employees and members of the immediate families of Vancity Credit Union (“Vancity”), its affiliated companies, its advertising agencies and the supplier of prizes) can enter this contest by submitting a message via the ‘meet Kate’ function of the site. http://www.changeeverything.ca/contact/moderator

Although online access and an e-mail account are required in order to participate in this contest, no purchase is necessary.  Many public libraries, retail businesses and others offer free access to computers and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free e-mail accounts.

A Vancity representative will read all submissions received on or before the contest closing date of 5:00 PM PT on Friday July 24th 2009 and will, in their complete, sole and exclusive discretion, choose one (1) entry based.  The chances of being selected depend upon the number of eligible submissions received.

Upon selecting a winning submission, we will contact thw winner, via the email address they used to register on the site, ask them a skill-testing question and send them a publicity/liability release and acceptance of prize form (“Winner Agreement”). Upon correctly answering the question and returning the signed Winner Agreement, the user will be eligible to receive their prize of weeks worth of groceries approximate retail value of $50.00. There is one (1) prize available to be won. Prize must be accepted as offered and no substitutions are allowed.  Prize is not transferable and is not convertible to cash.  Vancity reserves the right to make substitutions in the event of non-availability of any prize.   

If a selected participant is under the age of nineteen years, their parent or guardian must agree to these Rules & Regulations, sign the Winner Agreement and answer the skill-testing question on the minor’s behalf.

If a selected participant chooses not to accept the prize, or is unable or unwilling to comply in full with these rules and regulations, then Vancity may choose another blog post at their discretion.

By entering, participants agree to have their profile and winning blog post spotlighted on ChangeEverything.ca.

All decisions of Vancity are final.

Vancity reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever without notice.

Vancity has the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in this contest. Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable period of time may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Vancity for the purpose of this Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Vancity reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant in its sole discretion, should any entry or entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, or posting blog material which, in the determination of Vancity in its sole and exclusive discretion, is or may be illegal, immoral or inconsistent with generally prevailing community standards.

Vancity assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete posts or for any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of a post. Vancity is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the contest. Vancity assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, posts or for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, email, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing, or for any injury or damage to entrant or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest. Vancity assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of Vancity, such as infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest and/or the Vancity website.
This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal legislation applicable.
