Stop changing... diapers

So I gotta admit, we weren't so impressed with the video. Ivan seemed to like the song, but I don't know if I could stomach him getting hooked and having to memorize it and sing it to him all the time. I'm a dedicated father, but come on now...

We're starting to sit him down on the potty and waiting for 'action'. Maybe we'll try the video again in a few weeks or a couple of months.

I finally got the 'his' edition of Once Upon a Potty from the library. Gonna check it out this week. We'll see what happens...

I'd always heard that boys were late to potty train, and Ivan was late in walking. So we didn't really plan on starting this until he was a little older than 21 months. But he's been pointing to his diaper whenever he, um, elimiantes a solid. So, we bought a potty and are getting a book for him about it and we'll see what happens. It'll be nice not to be using diapers, which are destructive (cloth diapers gave him a horrible rash). Plus, it'll be nice not to have to deal with his 'production' so often.
