Change the way people go about their daily lives.

As a kid, I was taught my manners. Of course, not every child absorbs those manners as well as their parents would like. I'd like to think that I was a pretty good sponge, though.

Anyway, my point is, I always make sure to hold open doors. And if someone holds a door open for me, I always say thanks. Sometimes, I don't speak loud enough and I hope that the person holding the door open didn't think I was an ungrateful loser or something like that.

So I hosted a local show this past Saturday where I provided food and bottled water for the bands. At the end of the night, when we were cleaning up, I couldn't believe the amount of water that was left over! I mean, a lot of people don't usually think about it (including me before Saturday), but at huge events, concerts, sporting events... imagine how many bottles of water a person goes through. And imagine how many of them are only partially finished by the end of the event!

I attend UBC and school has been going now for just over a month. I live in Richmond though, so this means taking the bus everyday, there and back. I don't mind it, really. What I do mind... is when people don't adhere to the somewhat unspoken rules of public transit ettiquette.

1. Those seats at the front of the bus? They're for senior citizens, wheelchair access, and the occasional baby carriage. So if you see someone who falls into these three categories getting on the bus... MOVE. Don't sit and look around, waiting for someone else to move instead. Chances are... they're probably waiting for you to move too. So let's just cut out half the trouble.

So a short while back, I had posted about how I was going to try and do coffee differently... like using a travel mug instead of a paper cup. Less sugar. Yadda yadda and all those things. I felt pretty good. What I didn't expect was that it would spark a pretty intense and very well-worded train of comments. The people who commented, I thank all of you.

 However, I have just one issue with a few of these comments.

So tonight, I went by Save-On-Foods and bought a package of stickers. I was originally looking for plain white envelope labels, but the only thing I found were "Hello! My Name Is..." tags. Which works just fine for what my friend and I wanted to accomplish. We spent about an hour or so sitting at Tim Horton's, filling every single one of the 100 tags with quotes, thoughts, and song lyrics. Some of them were just silly. Some of them were really thought provoking. Some of them didn't make sense at all.
