I totally agree. So much of the time people have such a narrow definition of success - it is merely about income or wealth. So many of the people I know who are successful may not qualify as wealthy by any standard

It also brings up a larger issue for me. Is a product really cheap if we don't pay for its environmental impact or true labour costs? If we define success as something other than financial, doesn't that also mean we have to address the issue of true cost economics where labour practices and environmental impact also weigh in on our prices and therefore consumer choices?
