So many of my American gay male friends have suffered with fear, intimidation, diminishment (ulitmately abuse) for the last eight years under the Bush administration. I'm not sure if you noticed but President Elect Barack Obama used the 'g' word - gay - in his victory speech last night. I was moved to tears knowing the impact that would have for my dear friends in the US. I'd sure love to hear Mr. Harper use the 'g' word in a positive light like Mr. Obama. Trusting that too will come to pass.
It's such a bittersweet
It's such a bittersweet victory that the US moved such a dramatic step forward with the election of Obama and yet three states effectively outlawed gay marriage.
It'll happen, but how much longer will it take?
