my family needs help

I am a single mother of a 8yr old daughter. I work but all of my earnings go toward the household bills leaving me nothing extra. I also take care of my disabled mom and grandmother. I could really use some help to make this holiday a joyous one for my little girl. If anyone knows where I could get some help please let me know. I'm not one who asks for help but the truth is I just don't know where else to turn!!

Im a recently single mother of 4. I left an abusive relationship. Can someone help put presents under the tree for my kids? And a meal on the table? They are great kids from ages 9-14. We will share pictures and homemade cards with the person that can help us. Thank you.

Hi Scott - I was browsing the wanted sections of my local craigslist listings and found some very similar posts. I've compiled a list of the URLS (to contact the people for mailing addresses) and I want to act fast and get them what they need. Thank you for reading. My name is Terri. I am on here because i know a family that needs help this time of year. She is a single mom of 2 and has been layed off. She works hard and as long as i have known her has always done the best she could. Last year she was off work with cancer she had to have surgery and all that goes with it but as soon as she got the ok she went back to work. She is doing her best to raise her kids and now laid off. The mobile home they live in is in desperate need of repair. The floors are not finished, the roof leaks in more than one place, she has leaky pipes and faucets. I worry they may have the power cut off soon. I am not looking for money for them and know that christmas gifts are not a worry for her but i am looking for any items that can be donated to help her with her home repairs. The childrens father gives her 25 a week in support and she is getting 85 a week in unemployment. No foodstamps yet but she does have an appointment. I try to help the best i can but social security only goes so far. She is a proud woman and these are good kids willing to help anyone. I am just hoping there are some willing to help her. She does not know i am doing this so i will direct any emails and questions to me. Thank you for your time.

The sad thing is most people who truly need help to give their child or children a christmas dont get it. In order to qualify with alot of organizations doing toy drives you need to have regestered months ago or you need to be a regular patron of the local food bank. After my rent alone I have $229 each month to live off. Take away the phone, basic cable and some food and well you get the point. Like most mom's out there I struggle through and dont get help from anyone... I have thought about going to the food bank to take some stress off but always think no thats for someone who really needs it.

5 days after christmas on news years eve will be my daughters 6 birthday as well. Luckily I start a new job in early january that pays well and my little one wants to do a birthday party at chucky cheese so she has agreed to a party mid january as my gift to her.

I dont know how I will possibly make christmas happen for my beautiful little girl this year but I know I will find a way to make it work maybe I will have to spend the bill money and pay them in january or something.

Long story short though until this year I assumed that this didnt happen here... all kids get presents as there are so many charities out there... Now I know I was wrong.

it is so unfortunate that families are struggling this time of year. What is even more unfortunate is that christmas is just one day and most people need help beyond the holiday. Charitable notions seem to decline right after the holidays. A mentality in which i have seen is one of which is self soothing. Do a "good deed" because it's christmas. "i've done my part - pat pat".
I am definatly not knocking anyone who stretches out their kindness this season, i wish people would remember that it does go beyond a table meal and some gifts.
I had help yeras ago when i was a strugglng single mother. Although i am by no means out of the woods financially, i comprehend that i am in a better place then previous years.
Also, i don't have alot to offer either - but i would love to help out where i can. Does anyone know of a single mom with a child with no christmas dinner>? This i can offer. Of course - it would have to suit the persons and my comfort level:)
