Shark Water

I saw the movie Shark Water on the weekend. EVEN IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF SHARKS, YOU SHOULD SEE THIS MOVIE. It is not scary and you will see them in a different light. It was without doubt the most important and amazing movie I have seen in the last several years. It left me almost speechless. Even if you don’t care about or are afraid of sharks, everyone needs to know that they are becoming extinct and what that means to land dwellers is this:

Most sharks eat primarily fish. If sharks become extinct, the fish will grow in numbers and overpopulate. Fish eat algae. The ocean’s algae provide us with 70% of the world’s oxygen. If the algae get overeaten by the enormous fish population, where will we get oxygen from?

According to the movie, 90% of the world’s shark population has been killed in the last 2-3 decades, but on SharkTrust.org it indicates the numbers have dropped by more than that for many species of sharks.

I won't tell you about the entire movie. But if you're afraid of sharks, it's not scary, please don't let that hold you back.

If you just want to sign the pledge to save the sharks, just visit the website: Shark Water

I signed this petition. Recently, I watched the film SharkWater

It makes my heart hurt that this happens to any being; big, scary, small or cuddly.
