We all care but don't know where to start!?

I'm just as clueless as everyone else. I've been working in the industry for 4+ years and think I have seen enough. Day after day I report to work with immense guilt. Although I try my best to be as responsible as an "environmentally-conscious flight attendant" can be (and to my knowledge, the term is almost an oxymoron), there are always those dreadfully early morning or all-nighter flights that put recycling the last thing on my mind (sorry but true, try a 15 hour day with no sleep the night before).

This is a blog that will provide an insider look on the day-to-day operation of air travel to help everyone (from employees to vacationers) gain a better understanding of how personal actions while flying can make a difference in minimizing the damage we do to our environment. In addition there will be tips about changing personal habits, and relevant articles will also be posted.

So far, this is an one-(wo)man mission. Part of the plan will be to promote this website and its mandate among colleagues and travelers. If you would like to support/contribute to this cause in any way, or simply have questions related to this mission, email me at 40000ft@gmail.com

as cliche as it sounds - together we can make a difference!
