Turn off my electronics and electrical devices on May 16th
Tags:
  • My iPod. Those podcasts will just have to fend for themselves for a day.
  • Elevators and escalators. (My thighs will be as mighty oaks! My calves will be as powerful bulls! My ankles will be... sore, I'm guessing.)
  • Our Mac mini and TV. I can watch our (perfectly! legal!) Bittorrents another time.

EnviroWoman pledges to turn off:

  • the computer (no blogging for this chickie)
  • the lights ('ll read by candlelight)
  • the VCR (I will give up Oprah for a day)
  • the vacuum cleaner (breathe easy dust bunnies)
  • the dishwasher (let them pile up in the sink)
  • the oven (I will not cook supper)
  • the washer, dryer, and iron (hey this Turn If Off initiative is starting to sound like a pretty good idea!!!)

But I will still watch the season finale of America's Next Top Model...but by candlelight!

Egads... and here I am feeling like Simon Fraser because I'll be giving the elevator a miss on Wednesday!
