I totally agree with you about the personal care and cleaning products. We use so many chemicals with these products,and it's so simple to look for alternatives.
A Vancouver-based company, LFT Group has recently launched a range of environmentally-friendly laundry detergents and fabric softeners, called the Live for Tomorrow range. They are available in both scented and unscented versions, and all are phosphate-free, which is great for our waters and the eco-system.
The packaging also incorporates eco-friendly materials, such as water-based inks. All the ingredients are locally-sourced (no more than a 5-hour drive from Vancouver) and distributed, making this both a great local product and a great green product!
