Best places to run

Vancouver and Victoria have some truly awesome places to run.
I live a short distance from the Dallas Road waterfront and Beacon Hill Park, so have these as added incentive to resume my running.
UVic's wooded peripheral foot paths and UBC's Endowment Lands are the best places I have found to run without the noise, pollution and hazard of cars.
And the forest air! Ahhhhhhh...
Where are other great local running venues?

I'm not a runner, but I know Dallas Road as a fab dogwalking spot. I wonder...is there a universal law that states that the best running spots are also the best dogwalking spots?

When I could get out there,
When I could get out there, I used to go running around Elk lake. It is a perfect 10K and so beautiful! A special weekend treat of a run.
