I'm sorry that my last post also bashed TELUS a bit. I don't have a personal vendetta against TELUS -- it's just that they keep doing things that I feel I need to talk about.
So, tree planting... http://promotions.telusmobility.com/tree/
This is certainly a perfect example of opportunistic environmentalism. I guess you can't really bash this since they're technically doing some good.
But why oh why do you have to bring in a flyer for them to plant the tree? Just plant the darn tree and then tell everybody about it in true shameless business-ness (yes, business-ness).
So tell me, what did it take to produce this "10% total recovered fibre" flyer?

I just sent them an email
I just sent them an email asking who thought it was a good idea to have a tree planting campaign based entirely on bringing in flyers, I mean DUH! I also challenged them start thinking a bit differently about how they use resources to conduct business.
