"Green" our Company

So, a little over a month ago I started my vermiculture experiment at work, and it looks like it is a failure. I get way too much food scraps for the worms to work through, I would have to build a worm tower to accommodate all the material. Theoretically it is a good thing that I get so much material, that means my coworkers are adopting the composting idea and are supporting me in my greening efforts. But it looks like I have to shut the trial down very soon because the worms can't keep up. Very disappointing...

can you find a few people

can you find a few people who compost at home and ask them to rotate taking home a bucket?

I find that I am almost greedy for food scraps when i have a garden to feed with new rich soil... and I would be happy for extra material.

I use one of those buckets that dish washing powder comes in to transport the scraps. the lids are super tight and will not leak when you are transporting the scraps.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the suggestion,

Thanks for the suggestion, Kate, there are indeed a few people who have backyard composters, but they are not willing to commit. It's quite disheartening to get such a lackluster response to all my small initiatives, not one of them has been approved or implemented. This project of greening our company will take much longer than I thought, or maybe people are just greened-out.
