We wanted to thank everyone who voted for Stand Up For Mental Health in the Viva La Resolution Contest. Winning a thousand dollars was wonderful. But even better is having the forum to put Stand Up For Mental Health out there for all of you.

Gary Mason of the Globe and Mail did a great article about Stand Up For Mental Health in last Saturday's Globe and Mail. He gets what we do, and why we do it. The interview with Stand Up For Mental Health's founder, comedian and psyco-counselor David Granirer, talked about the Programs's unique role in the battle against mental illness and how broken the mental healthcare system really is.

We are having our first Fundraising Gala Performance of the year on Sunday April 13, 7pm at the Arts Club Granville Island Stage. Famed Comedian Mike MacDonald headlines, and the new class of Stand Up For Mental Health comedians of 2008, strut their stuff. Come and find out why laughter really is the best medicine.

Stand Up For Mental Health is almost totally self-supporting, which is why this fundraiser is so important to us. Please come out and share an evening of laughter.
