JUNE 23 EVENING OF INSPIRED INSANITY AND SUBLIME MUSIC-HAMISH NICHOL MEMORIAL COMEDY FUNDRAISER AT THE YALE FOR VGH FOUNDATION
""
The First Annual SMH Hamish Nichol Memorial Comedy Benefit Comes to the Yale Hotel June 23
Stand Up For Mental Health (SMH) Brings Its Own Brand of Inspired Insanity to the Yale Hotel for One Night Only.
Join Us in Honouring the Memory of Noted Vancouver Psychiatrist, Humanitarian and Environmental Activist, Dr. Hamish Nichol.
The Fabulous David Granirer (Author of “The Happy Neurotic”) and the Comics of Stand Up For Mental Health Bring the Laughter to the Home of Rythme and Blues.
According to SMH Creator David Granirer, “SMH is like The Full Monty – only people want us to keep our clothes on!”
SMH uses stand-up comedy to break down the prejudice, stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental illness. Laughter is our lethal and cost-effective weapon of choice.
From the Ridiculous to the Sublime...Fabulous BC Band AUGUST compliments the comedy with “Wit, wisdom, womanhood, harmonies & hilarity…” AUGUST combines THREE award-winning recording artists & singer/songwriters: Rae Armour, Beverley Elliott and Linda Kidder – 'women of a certain age' with attitude! Joined by Daryl Jahnke on guitar. When AUGUST comes around, it’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the music.
Come Out and Enjoy an Evening of Inspired Comedy and Sublime Music.
Honour the Memory of a Wonderful Citizen of the Global Village. The World is a Far Better Place Because Hamish Walked Amongst Us.
