Sunset Neighbourhood

Sunset is located in south central Vancouver. It is bounded by 41st to the north, Ontario to the west and Knight Street to the east. The Fraser river is the southern boundary.

Fraser Street is the core shopping district and the 3rd most walked area in the city.

A primary challenge is preparing children for elementary school. According the research of Dr. Clyde Hertzman, the percentage of children not prepared for elementary school is equal to children who reside in the Strathcona/ Downtown Eastside.

The challenge is both preparation for school and continuing to challenge children and youth to develop their academic, recreational, social and emotional skills.
