Chocolate, ice cream, candy bars, soda pop and alcohol are
all popular items to give up for a New Year’s resolution. Bah!!!! Try all of
them at once!
I’ve come to realize that any processed food has the
potential of containing sugar (or an equivalent) and if I’m to keep to my
resolution, scrutinizing every food label is critically important. Here’s what
I’ve uncovered so far:
Jan. 1 – Specturm Organic Mayonnaise – contains organic
honey
Jan. 2 – Kraft Signature Balsamic Vinagrette (calorie-wise
®) – contains sugar
Jan. 2 – Sriracha HOT Chili Sauce – contains sugar (second
largest ingredient after chili)
Jan. 3 – Yves Veggie Breakfast Patties – contains evaporated
cane juice
Jan. 4 – Healthy Way 100% Whole Wheat Loaf – contains cane
juice
Cane juice and/or evaporated cane juice sounds a lot like, “Sugar,
ah cane juice, cane juice . . .”
