Group defunct: criags list a go

I feel like a lot of my life I have been a taker. Since I am in my 20s and just out of graduate school, I won't be too hard on myself about that but I want to start to be a giver.

Last year I tried making a bartering club which was free to join. I found some pretty interesting people but also some weirdos like a guy who offered a service of taking naked pictures of group members to put in his portfolio and in exchange he wanted something worth 100-200 dollars. Thanks but umm.... no thanks. There was no structure to the group it depended on everyone being generous and giving and well lets face it not everyone is...and the group needed more structure so I failed to renew the oneline membership.

This time around I am trying to just offer nice things on craigs list to strangers both for free and for barter and ask them when we make an exchange to do the same for someone else. I figure the more people to do the better the pool for everyone.
