Let's not forget about the animals

I have some things I would like to contribute. And I will also go to some local thrift shops between now and then and buy towels, blankets and any suitable animal toys I can find. 

Great idea Michelle. People are obviously important but animals are near and dear to my heart as well. I have a great lined basket (cats or small dog) and can add some canned wet cat food. How can I get them to you?

Excellent!  I am currently working on a location to drop things off at in Vancouver area or else I'll make arrangements to come and pick things up.

I'm sure we have some pet stuff including lots of towels -- we're in Kits. If there's a way we can get stuff to you, we'd be delighted to contribute.

Anything that is written down under the Animal section would be great as well as towels/blankets if possible.  I'm planning on heading out to Vanouver area to pick things up either on December 16 or 17, which ever works better for people.  And if neither of these days work, then during the week works also.

If you know anyone else who wants to help but doesn't have stuff to donate, the SPCA also needs CASH.  I am fostering a cat for the Vancouver SPCA, who has already had 2 eye surgeries and is having dental surgery there today.  

They provide a lot of hospital services that are all supported by donations.  And they're a registered charity so you get the tax deduction.

hey every. i have a problem my neighbor has a dog and im not sure if he or his two sons hurt the dog. i have seen the dog and you can see his ribs through his skin and when i feed him he acts if he hasn't eaten in years. i don't really know who to tell & i don't really want to because im shy. can some one help me i love animals and i don't want to see him or any other dog hurt.

If you observe an animal in distress,
we would ask that you report that via telephone to your nearest branch
of the Society. While the Society will go to great lengths to respect the
confidentiality of complainants, all anonymous complaints will also be acted
upon. Anonymous complainants will, however, not be able to find out how the
matter was concluded.

If you wish to file a complaint electronically with respect to an animal in
distress, then we ask you to observe the following guidelines:

• If your complaint is of a general non life threatening nature, please
  submit
  it via our web form - click here.
• Due to the sheer volume of complaints, it is not possible for us to
  acknowledge every complaint, but rest assured all complaints will be
  investigated.
• If your complaint is of a life threatening nature, please call your nearest
