I Already Have Too Many Blogs!!!
Hi,
A friend of mine suggested this incredible environment and I popped in to take a look. How can I not post something? Anything? I must.
I've been invited to so many blogging communities over the last year due to the content I write for my website and for the initial blogging community that I began with 2 or 3 years ago. I've hotlinked them here so you can check them out. The Mindsay blogging community had me voted the best reading blog last year - an informal vote begun by a member of the community.
I started a company a few years back called One Man Can (make a difference). Naming and business registration demanded there be more to the name that identifies what it is I do. Well, that was still a work in progress but Human Capital Development is what I stuck with it as I'd been a career counsellor, an speaker inspirational and culture change facilitator in the past. I'm also a bit of a rebel and didn't like the term Human Capital Management. People are tired of being managed, they want to be empowered! Development is how I saw that twist offering a better perspective and potential.
So, what else?
Spirituality is the thing that drives me - that and the human experience, or human condition, and the comlexities that lay within. People get trapped - myself included at times - by the shoes we end up wearing that are taking us down a particular road and we often forget it's not that difficult to change shoes. Or is it? In principle it isn't. In practice, it feels challenging, maybe moreso due to the societal norms that we also try to function and operate within.
As a coach, I find I do more work around the emotional experience, helping many people regain a sense of perspective and equilibrium within the context of who they are and the experiences they are having. My writing reflects this as well, I believe. Additionally, a natural element and inclusion to this process is the spiritual development that I introduce as it is such an ingrained reality of what I am and who I have become.
God is a word, only a word, and incomplete in its' depth and breadth to explain the mysterious force behind all of creation. It does exist, it is masculine and feminine, it is intelligent, it is (in principle) a loving force, it is the source of all existence, and it will give you whatever your hearts desire. This is where so many are challenged.
Supper calls so I'll stop here, though there is much more onmy heart worth sharing. An important thing for all of us to realize - and this is what I endeavour to do - is that we need to listen with more than our minds. We need to live and respond to life and each other with more than our intellect. Harmony is the balance between the heart and the mind, and there is still more magic and mystery to engage in the simple process. It's untangling all the social conditioning that can feel hard.
Love, Lee

Hi Kate, Thanks - I'm glad
Hi Kate, Thanks - I'm glad to be here. You're right, there is nothing to fear. I had a very eye-opening dream bring me to wakefulness this morning. So much so that I did have to get up and write about it. Such a shame too since sleeping is a wonderful place to be sometimes. Ironically, I also don't like going to sleep at night as I'm so excited about life too! Go figure. Ah, to be in human form with all the curious delights and mischevious perplexities.
I'm really glad I found about this community. I feel right about being in this space and your welcoming message affirms that. I look forward to sharing my inspring messages and challenging ideas and thoughts with people in this community. It is my intent and hope that they empower us individually and collectively to a brilliant new future.
Best wishes, Lee

Lee,
Welcome to ChangeEverything! I found myself wide-eyed and delighted when I read a your posting and a couple of pages from your blogs. I agree: something is hapenning, and it is the conditioning that makes it feel scary, and impossible to endure - though on a deeper level I know there is nothing to fear.
