FEED bag- United Nations World Food Program
Hey!
Has anyone heard of the FEED bag? The money goes to United Nations World Food Program to

feed one child for an entire school year. However, it's $60 (on Amazon) but only $34 goes to the program and Amazon takes $9. Also, it's not made of organic materials so you're not helping the environment, but you're helping children in need. And the FEED Project is a partnership between the United Nations World Food Program and Lauren Bush, WFP Honorary Spokesperson.
What do you think of this?
There's another bag made from Hayden-Ha
rnett and they'll donate $25 from each sale to
global warming charities and $10 to American Forests to plant ten trees to help reduce carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. It's made of 100% cotton canvas and natural pigment dyes (they admit it's not organic so the cost of donating the money wouldn't go up- something like that). It's really cute and it's $55- which is cheaper than the FEED bag by five whopping bucks- and you're donating one dollar more, so it's better.
Which one do you think is better to order if your planning to buy a cute bag for the holidays (Eid is coming up)? Which one is better?
Thanks

Thank you so much!
You always help me out and reply to my blogs :D
I'm definitely going to check that website out. Great job- that's a really cool thing, sponsoring a child in need. My family and I are sponsoring a child in Palestine/Israel because I feel so bad for the people there (I'm Palestinian, too).

I think that they are both wonderful causes even if Amazon does take some for itself. I think that carrying the tote bag around is a bit like carrying a mini-billboard with you and it would help raise awareness.

I recently sponsored a little girl in Nicaragua, it feels so good. Through World Vision you can sponsor children and families all over the world. According to Ipsos Reid opinion research, 84% of Canadians would prefer to receive a gift that would help someone. Check it out
another cool thing with doing something like this instead of buying another 'thing' is that more of the resources go directly to making things happen.
