bike tubes (for tires)

I rode my bike when the tire was deflated so it's completely ruined and I need to buy a new bike tire tube, which is okay with me, but I was wondering if there was one that would last longer than three months and environmentally friendly, like made out of organic, eco-friendly materials?

I realize that they are definitely not nature (the bike tire tubes) because they make you itch and give this weird tingly feeling when you touch it.. Maybe this doesn't happen to everything but my father's skin reacted strongly and he couldn't stop itching. Anyway, I was just wondering..

By the way, does anyone know if I could recycle it (in the blue bin)? If not, anyone have any ideas what I could use it for? I heard some companies use it instead of leather.. I wonder how they do this.
