What Are Your Priorities?

My passion for the planet has always been an itch without nice long fingernails to scratch it. It would go up and down on my priority list, constantly competing with work, bills, keeping a clean home and other meaningless fragments of the day-to-day burn.

I joined 'change everything' this time last year, only a few months after the birth of my daughter. A combination of fluxing hormones and my instinctive maternal drive needed to go beyond keeping her safe and healthy - I was put in charge of protecting the planet for her. I don't want her growing up wondering what it's like to swim in a river or what a forest smells like.

At that point I had this rush of motivation, started sewing and researching....and then life's priorities took over..and these important things were pushed into the closet. Fortunately, I now have God on my side. He's straightened out my priorities and given me a look into the potential of my future.

I'm back! And the environment is more important to me than making money or vacuuming!
