What is beauty

I want to be a part of a shift in how we express and appreciate beauty. For example, growing up, I was taught that being thin was really important. It has been amazing to look at this as a grown up - the impact it has had on me has been tremendous. But thinness is not the only weird thing we strive for impossibly. That's why I love the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, not only because it is a huge initiative by a skin care cosmetics company, but because the people behind it seem to genuinely want to shift the way we see beauty. Check out this video.

It is, as the clip says, no wonder our perception of beauty is distorted.  

If I had a daughter I would show her things like this video often.
