Not opposed to taxes, but am opposed to BC HST
This came to me from a friend who sends out great weekly newsletters filled with political, spiritual and environmental news. I felt that I wanted to turn it into a blog post because I hope more people find out about how to become involved in the creation (or undoing) of the silly HST.

I am not opposed to taxes, we need them to provide for our social services and to run our country. I AM opposed to the BC HST, and even though politics makes strange bedfellows, I think we should feel OK about joining together to oppose this regressive tax -- one that imposes a greater burden (relative to resources) on the poor than on the rich.
