clothing drive in full swing!

The clothing drive is in full swing and is blowing me away! I filled, to the brim, my Delica yesterday (see image in the original post) and that was my first pick up at Vancity Head Office. The staff here are amazing. Especially the call centre, who managed to fill about 8 garbage bags with warm clothes and food (see image).

Someone at Westbeach (the snowboard clothing company) heard about the ChangeEverything tradition and donated another Delica load of ski pants, and warm coats!

I brought the items to Triage Emergency Shelter.

Special Request: There have been so many responses, I am starting to feel like I can't do it alone. If you have a car that is snow worthy and feel inspired by this initiative, get in touch. It'd be great to get more folks out there doing the pick ups and drop offs. It is SO rewarding - I can't even tell you.

Hi Kate,

You've probably gotten my other messages by now, but I wanted to alert you about a friend of mine, Ann Frost, annfrost@shaw.ca who offered to help drive. a day or so ago and didn't hear anything. Now its Friday, Dec. 19. Don't know if you still need drivers, or if the drive is winding down.

Wanted you to know it worked out with the two addresses you asked me to take over: Gary Harper took his clothing etc. to a shelter in New West, and I will be picking up 4 bags from Orson and Orb on W. 4th tomorrow, and will be taking all that to an emergency shelter near by:

1731 West 4th (City, Province, MPA)
