The terrible disaster unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico is devastating for fishermen, local communities, and all of us who support protecting our public resources.
Can You Imagine an Oil Spill Many Times Worse than the Current One? BP Atlantis is an oil platform in the Gulf that is missing 89% of its engineer-approved safety documents. According to BP's own worst case scenario, a blowout on BP Atlantis would cause a spill twice as large as the Exxon Valdez spill within two days.
This is a tragedy that we can prevent. Take action to shut it down, before it's too late.
