Been having a hard time

I have been finding it difficult to get back into running. There was a time when I ran for 1.5 a day 4-5 days a week. Now I cant imagine such a thing. It has been a year since I stopped running and I hate it. I feel crappy and I miss running. I know there are obstacles that are getting in my way, but I cant seem to get past them. I feel like a big one is having someone to run with. I want to run on trails not on pavement. Also I am a bit scared at how out of shape I might be...and I wont know until I get out there! - so if I keep putting it off I wont have to find out!

motivation? try some really strong coffee, lol jk,probably not good for you. Start out running for only 10 minutes or so 2-4 x a week, you'll start feeling lighter or more energetic and probably actually want to run.
