Change the Future

i donate and volunteer for animal rescue. i looked into each candidate and feel my vote must go to Working Gear. That way there will be more working people to donate to worthy causes, make room for others in need and generally result in more being given back to the community.

People before animals. That's my personal belief.

people can get help themselves but animals cannot...so animals before people!!

i am responding to the comment...people before animals....i take offense to this because I believe people have the right to make choices...It is in their own power to decide their fate and they can make what they want of their life. ..it may be hard but they do have a choice.  On the other hand, animals have no choice at all..  they are at our mercy and if they end up in a good home...they are the lucky ones.  Being a letter carrier I have seen too many unlucky ones...the ones tied up, the ones stuck around the side of a house, forgotten and alone, the ones not fed, the ones that long for a friendly hand to pet them.  This is the reality of it for a lot of animals.  I am not saying that animals should come before people...only that they have as much as right as people to be treated kindly, humanley and with respect.  I volunteer at Saints and if Carol was not there to help these animals, I shutter to think what would happen to them.  They are safe, warm and happy there.  They are loved for the rest of their lives. ...thank good for places that put animals before people................lynne arnason

I'll admit my own bias: I support and volunteer with Working Gear. 

It sort of seems to me that people have the right to express their own feelings and opinions without being called down. If you believe animal rights should come before the rights of human beings so be it. But nobody is in your discussion string calling you down. So take it easy.
