Speak out about the proposed private Observation Tower in QE Park
An Observation Tower has been proposed for Queen Elizabeth Park - Observation Tower. This seems an unwise for many reasons, not the least of which is that the project is a private enterprize in a precious public Vancouver space.
The Public Process regarding this project is coming soon.
The Park Board will consider this report at its regular meeting on
Monday, January 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the Park Board Administrative
Office, 2099 Beach Avenue, Vancouver.

If you wish to speak to this report, please contact Julie Casanova at
604-257-8451 by 12:00 noon on Monday, January 28th, 2008.
You might consider when you speak that such a tower in QE Park goes against many Vancouver values; that far more valuable resources will be destroyed or harmed in building, maintaining and providing infrastructure than by trimming a few trees so we can see the mountains again; that Vancouver is an earthy city with Stanley Park, the Endowment Lands; that a tower will destroy the view as well as improve it.
Please consider speaking out.
