Speak out about the Clam Shell over Robson Square
If you believe that the idea of a clamshell covering over Robson Square for ceremonies during the 2010 Olympics (from the steps of the Art Gallery right through to the steps on the other side) is wrong-headed and a waste of money here’s what to do:
Email Premier Gordon Campbell directly at premier@gov.bc.ca and include your name and mailing address.
You might say that the open, green space in the middle of the city is a wonderful feature of the downtown area, that friends who visit find it delightful and that many cities are moving toward more such spaces and secondly that the amount of money that would be required could be well spent in much more beneficial ways.
If you agree with these views, please, send your letter and send this email to others who will take action. I believe it will make a difference.

Preparations for the
Preparations for the clamshell are already beginning.
Metal fencing has cordoned off areas along Howe St with two rows of trees along the sidewalk have cut down and bushes are being removed.
I'm not quite sure how a project like this goes ahead without any consultation.

Do you know where I can
Do you know where I can learn more about the proposed clamshell? I can't say what kind of idea I feel it is until I have learned more...
thanks
