Pivotal Moments -- life changing events

I am pleased and honoured to let you know that the Vancouver Public Library is hosting a 'Meet the Author' event on Sunday, November 7, and this is the topic of my new blog posting (www.becomingthejourney.blogspot.com).

It is billed as a 'Meet the Author' event, yet I rather think of it as a time to come together to reflect on key moments in our lives -- those people, places, events which have burst our bubbles, or opened doors, or helped us see ourselves or our lives in new ways.

There will be a reading from Becoming, and then a dialogue with participants. I look forward to the connections. I would also welcome your suggestions regarding the essay to select for the reading -- perhaps there is one that you particularly liked, one which moved you, reminded you of a pivotal moment in your life... You needn't be local to suggest an essay... I'd love to hear from you wherever you are.

I would be very pleased if any of you local folks would be able to stop by and join us. We'll be in the West End Community Centre, in the Barclay Room, ground floor, at 2:00 pm.
