DIRECT ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE - NOW IS THE TIME!
SHUT DOWN THE GATEWAY TO CLIMATE CHAOS

Join us as we stage an occupation of a Gateway Program site in central Vancouver, and send a clear message to our Prime Minister and the BC Government that GATEWAY=CLIMATE CHAOS.

ACTION: We will be meeting at 7:30 PM on Monday at Thunderbird Park at the intersection of Hwy 1 and 1st Ave in Vancouver. From there, we will soon proceed to the nearby action site. If you can't find us or lose us, call 604.253.2127. The action may last as long as midnight, but any time you can spend with us will be appreciated.

Getting there by bike: Thunderbird Park is half way between the Adanac and Central Valley Greenway bike routes. From Adanac take Rupert Street
south to First and then head east. From CVG exit where the fence starts west of Highway one, cross Broadway and head north on Skeena Street.

Getting there by transit: Take Bus 27 (Rupert) to 1st and Rupert and then walk 3 blocks east. Or take Bus 28 to 1st and Boundary and then
walk 3 blocks west. It is also about a 15 minute walk from the Rupert skytrain station.

Getting there by car: The main entrance to the park is actually at 2nd Ave and Skeena St. People driving will want to use this entrance. There should be plenty of parking along Skeena and 2nd.

DRESS WARM! Bring a mug for a hot drinks and a snack to eat. Other useful things are: camera (still or video), flashlight or headlamp, drums, signs, banners. Extra blankets, warm drinks and food to share are always appreciated.
