Step 1 - waiting for the snow to melt

We're itching to get out in the yard after a winter of heavy snow. We have a list of about 20 things to do right away and all require clear ground. At the moment there is still a hump of snow under a tree that needs medical attention, and the ladybugs have yet to come out of the ground cover in the front garden. Planning has started after a beautiful melty weekend but alas, the forecast is for snow again! Until it's gone, we're plotting out our veggies and herbs and where to put the compost bin we'll be building next weekend.
