Why Clean Green? ..... because it matters!

We all grew up thinking chemical smells like bleach and ammonia signaled "clean." But some of the chemicals we use to maintain our homes are doing us and our families much more harm than good .............. author, expert and activist Deirdre Imus in Greening Your Cleaning.

Consider this... in decades past, families relied on chemical solutions for just about everything in and around our homes. Petro-chemicals, chlorine and ammonia are used in most cleaning products and leave toxic residue in our home. In recent times, it has been reported that indoor air pollution is higher than outdoor air pollution because of the chemicals used in everyday products.

Hundreds of chemicals found in home have been linked to cancer, allergies, birth defects, development disabilities, autism and attention deficit disorder. If ingested, even in very small doses, cleaning chemicals are toxic and frequently cause pet to be ill and mild-to-severe poisoning in children.

These conventional cleaners with harmful chemicals will find their way into the environment via air or water. Other chemicals find their way to our waterways and soil when we rinse them into our drainage systems. Huge amount of household cleaning products are dumped down the drain each day. Many contain toxic substances which pollute our eco-system, kill fish and wildlife. It's important to remember that nothing ever goes away.

At Eunike Living Green Cleaning Services (Tel: 97457148 / 94783184), we use products that have been created in an environmentally responsible manner. We have carefully chosen products that are toxin-free. We provide smarter, safer alternatives to the many conventional chemical products even products that are organic and biodegradable which can not be swallowed or drunk.

Green cleaning does matter. That's why we are committed to provide quality green cleaning services to meet this growing ecological need.

Here are a few things I use...

Hydrogen Peroxide... Have you ever known a hospital to smell like bleach? You can use it as an all purpose cleaner.

Showers Lemon ... Cut a fresh lemon and half rub it on shower walls... Sprinkle Baking Soda and use a towel to rub the walls. The lemon removes soap scum while the Baking soda is a mild abrasive... Wash down with Rubbing Alcohol... When you get a good scrub and no residue is left and it tiles are dry use a turtle wax on the tiles and buff off.. this will help the water bead off the wall and you won't have the build up of soap scum and you won't have to scrub it as much you will still have to clean it ... but it won't take as long. BE CAREFUL!!! Do not put the wax on the tub it is VERY VERY SLICK!!!

toilets... Couple of Efferdent fizzing tablets... Denture Cleaning Tablets....

Floors... Hydrogen peroxide...

Urine... Carpet... Blot up excess urine... with paper towels or old towel.. sprinkle baking soda and then spray with vinegar the fizzing brings the urine to the surface and then blot with towel...

Here is a few ideas....
