Spring is here in full force on the west coast and Vancouverites have a little extra jump in their step. The trees are brimming with new growth, flowers are bursting into bloom, and birds are chirping madly and constructing nests in the small wooded area near my home. It is a time for renewal and growth. It is also a great time to consider strengthening our own professional competencies, for retooling, and for 'sharpening the saw.'

Again this year, Hollyhock has a wonderfully diverse range of program offerings for those looking to challenge themselves with new ideas, explore their learning edge, and improve their professional skill sets. Descriptions of their full range of programs can be found at www.hollyhock.ca I am also happy to let you know that again this Spring, I will be leading a 5-day course at Hollyhock, entitled 'The Art and Craft of Facilitation' (May 10-14, 2010). This is the 9th year that I have delivered the program at the Hollyhock Centre on Cortes, and the course has been continually adapted to include some of the latest ideas in facilitation practice, based on recent literature and informed by my own professional experience.

The program is intended for independent facilitators, Executive Directors, managers, project leaders or any participants in collaborative group processes that are looking to enable teams to be effective, and support groups in achieving their full potential. Please do consider attending this program yourself, or kindly pass the attached flyer on to other friends or colleagues that might be interested in this course. Feel free to contact me if you would like additional information.

Cheers, and a happy Spring!

Julian
