Enjoying the beautiful day in the Garden!
Well I have solved another computor problem for now.... but when ever I am e-mail less, I am amazed at how completely dependent we have become on this form of communication!
Well the lovely weather has had me venture outside and start taking stalk of the garden "to dos" and starting to plan what to grow this summer.
Growing your own is a perfect way to eat the 100 mile diet and organic produce and save moneyall at the same time!!! It conserves energy, flowers and seeds attract and feed wildlife and organic procedures keeps all of us safe!
There are somethings I grow every year but other things change. Because I have only a small garden plot I don't want to grow the exact same things year after year because of the potential of disease build up.
The one guarantee is pumpkin and squash in the compost bin!!!!
I think I will grow more salad greens this year.
Arugula is my latest favourite... and try the flowers of arugula! If you like arugulas taste the flowers are a more delicate version with a touch of honey SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!!
And this great salad vegetable can be grown in the tiniest scrap of ground and will self seed if you let it!
I also will grow snap peas and green beans...
But that is as far as my planning has gone.
Now if only it would begin to warm up so that I can get a start on the garden!!! I hope spring comes soon.
