What is the least you can do.....
It's funny how things work out.
What starts as being the least you can do, actually spurs you on to do more. After seeing Rob Cottingham Tweet about the warm clothing drive I re-tweeted his tweet on twitter. That action was the least I was going to do.
I then thought that was lame if it were the only action I would take to help the drive. After digging through my closet I have a few jackets plus a sleeping bag to donate. I joined this site and contacted Kate to arrange a pick up.
Good start but it still doesn't seem to be enough. Ok so I am now in the midst of coordinating a collection at my work. A few more donations are coming in.
Add that to a few more retweets by those who have a bigger audience on Twitter and we start to see some traction.
What strikes me as odd as the level of effort for me to do this is pretty much zero. Type a few status updates, send an email or two, go through my closet.
My point here is the difference between the least you can do compared to the most you can do is a trivial distance. Once you make the decision to act, you may as well go all the way.

nice. i agree. and it feels
nice. i agree. and it feels so good (i know that sounds all squishy, but it's true!)
