15 days to UBC's The Briefing!

There's 15 more days to The Briefing event at UBC, where I will be presenting my cause to use $500 of the prize money to go towards buying new socks for the homeless in DTES.

On a side note, while going for my Monday swimming session to day in Burnaby, I noticed that a poster was put up by the front door and it says, "If you are sleeping outside, come to our shelter immediately!" It dawned on my again on just how cold the weather is and how many of the homeless must be suffering with cold feet and body.

In addition to that, I then saw a report on CBC news about an unusually cold weather that has hit India and many of the people on the streets are dying of the weather. That's all the more motivation to work towards bringing more socks to the homeless. If you can, help someone by sparing a pair of socks.
