french point of view about biking

Hi !

My name is Flo and I'm from France, more precisely from Angers. This is a city where sustainable development is at the centre of city politics.

Sustainable development is not solely an ecologic issue, it's moreover a way to live; recycling, biking around to school, to your work place, using public transport, shopping right (buying fair trade market products, caring about no plastic packaging...), building green (green roofs, living walls...)...

We already have in Angers a bike program named Velorution (the revolution of bikes) and I think it's a very good way to encourage people biking around ! I wanted to be part of it but, unfortunately, all bikes were already taken...

Being in Vancouver for a while (as an intern in green roofs technologies field) I'd really like this time to seize the opportunity to show the example (from my french point of view) and riding a vancity bike.

You are doing great with such a program, congratulations !!
